Major U.K. based independent software developer and product company specializing in the finance, insurance, and governmental sectors.

Product Manager, Funds Transfer Group

Responsible for providing corporate product direction. Defined functional and technical specifications for new products. Followed new product development through roll out and implementation.

  • Defined, designed and implemented the highly successful HotScan product. This scans all bank payments for sanctioned parties, including approximate matches.
  • Member of the Architectural Review Group, involved in defining and designing Logica's next generation funds transfer system.
  • Primary responsibility for providing technical direction and co-ordination with the development organization in maintaining and enhancing Logica's current funds transfer product, BESS.
    1990 Senior Business Consultant, Payment Systems
    Consulted with major financial institutions worldwide. Emphasis was on design and implementation of Central Bank Clearing, Payment, and Messaging systems.

  • Defined Banque de France messaging standards necessary to support new clearing system.
  • Implemented payment messaging system used by the Norwegian Interbank Clearing System project at Bankenes Betaling Sentral.
  • Reviewed J.P. Morgan's worldwide telecommunications traffic. Recommended and designed an internal communication network that resulted in annual costs savings in excess of one million dollars.
    1985 Project Manager
  • Responsible for carrying out the projects to install, train bank staff and cutover to production for clients who purchased Data Architects' funds transfer product worldwide (Logica purchased Data Architects in 1988). Clients included:

Managed the Product Support, Documentation and Configuration Management groups, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the BESS funds transfer product. Managed all mid-range computer systems and operations staff supporting approximately 100 development and support staff at Data Architects Systems Inc.

Econometric research company providing on line economic statistics and economic models to help guide client business decisions.

Team Leader, Transportation Division
Led the programming and mathematical modeling efforts used to develop the "The National Waterway Study," a major consulting report commissioned by the Army Corps of Engineers.
